Hornchurch, Essex
This detached family house in a popular part of the essex/london border had a large garden that was heavily overgrown and lacking inspiration and focus. A tired lawn and concrete path lead to more tired lawn, old fencing and a lonely glass house.

The Brief : to bring life and order in a simple yet striking way, incorporating a small pond and waterfall to form serenity and peace on a large canvas of lush green lawns and an easily maintainable place to relax, enjoy and entertain.

The Design : a cirular feature lawn with intergrated pond and water feature planted with evergreens and waterside grasses; the garden was on a gradient, and this would be built into 2 split level gardens, retained by a brick planter and access via a set of steps in the middle.
